Building on years of barefoot footwear expertise since 2019, we craft classic sneakers moulded for your feet.

ADAM — SOCIAL & OPERATIONS

A true sneaker enthusiast with more than 200 pairs in his personal collection. Having worked in sneaker stores since 17, Adam brings years of industry experience and a genuine passion for sneakers — while looking after our social media and logistics.

SERENAY — CREATIVE DIRECTOR

The creative force behind the Maximinima vision. With experience in the footwear industry since 2019, Serenay shapes the direction of our designs and the details that define the brand — from leather selection to the materials used in our shoes.

CAN — MARKETING & DIGITAL

The man behind the ads and the data. With experience in the footwear industry since 2019, Can looks after Maximinima’s marketing, advertising, data and digital experience — helping shape how the brand reaches and connects with people.

WHERE IT ALL BEGAN

The idea behind Maximinima started with a simple question:

What if a sneaker could support natural foot health without compromising comfort or style?

Rather than following trends, we looked at real feet and followed their shape. We set out to create a timeless sneaker that feels good, looks good, and is good enough to replace your favourite pair without asking the foot to compromise.

Drawing on years of barefoot footwear experience through Akana and a shared appreciation for great sneakers, Maximinima was created to build the barefoot sneaker we always wanted to wear ourselves.

LOGIC BEHIND OUR DESIGN

It’s strange when you think about it. We design gloves around hands, helmets around skulls, and glasses around faces because shape matters. Yet mainstream shoes often follow fashion, not anatomy. They squeeze toes into a narrow point, even though toes are meant to spread, flex, and anchor us with every step. Somewhere along the way, we accepted this as normal.

We believe a sneaker should work with your body, not against it.

That’s why we designed ours around the natural shape of the foot, giving your toes the freedom to move naturally without sacrificing the timeless look of a classic sneaker.

The result is a sneaker that feels intuitive from the very first step, combining natural movement principles with a clean, everyday design you'll actually want to wear.
